Comparing PUMA’s shoe sizing scheme with 40+ other athletic footwear brands, we found it to be consistent with most of them.

However, we strongly advise measuring your foot length anyway before ordering your accustomed shoe size, especially if you are buying PUMA shoes for the first time or if it's been a while since you did.

Then add 5-6 mm to the longer foot measurement (yes, one foot can be longer than the other) to round it up to the nearest Mondopoint (CM) size and see which US/UK/EUR PUMA size corresponds to that.

What fit to expect in PUMA shoes

Popular sneakers like the PUMA RS-X may appear wide and chunky around the foot but you are safe to go with the normal PUMA size. On the contrary, PUMA Suede silhouettes have a narrower, more streamlined profile which can be constricting for wider feet.

In the running shoe category, PUMA's daily trainers and shoes for long/recovery runs will offer sufficient space for toe splay and swelling. On the other hand, race-ready shoes from the Elite series have a more snug fit and narrower toeboxes for picking up the speed.

Finally, PUMA basketball shoes make for the most accommodating footwear category and tight fit is rarely an issue.

Unisex PUMA shoes

Some PUMA shoes are built on the men's last but their unisex appearance makes them suitable for ladies as well. These shoes are easy to detect by the following size indication: "M9/W10.5" (M is for men and W is for women).

Ladies should select size based on the number next to "W."

Wide widths in PUMA shoes

Unfortunately, not many PUMA shoes are available in wide options. But at least some of the brand's most popular running shoes, sneakers, and trainers are.

We found that PUMA’s US sizes for men are consistent with those of Adidas, Nike, and Reebok. So you are most likely to feel right in the same size across all these brands.

However, there are small (half-size) discrepancies in women's sizes because PUMA has a 1.5 US size difference between men's and women's sizes whereas brands like Adidas and Reebok only have 1 US size difference.
