The latest data from the Financial Conduct Authority show that Aviva Insurance Ltd – which underwrites the Barclays policy – paid out 75-80% of claims made on annual European policies in 2022 – in line with the average of 76%.

Aviva paid out 80-85% of claims made on annual worldwide policies – aligned with the average of 82%.

It accepted 75-80% of claims made on single-trip policies – above the average of 73%.
